Our adventure starts taking a smooth short flight from Kathmandu to land at unique airstrip in Lukla, a gateway town of Sherpa where wide range of trekking and mountaineering starts from this town.
Walk follows Dudh (Milky) Kosi River upstream all the way to its glacial source at base camp, exploring nice traditional Sherpa villages around Ghat-Phakding-Benkar and Monjo of immense Buddhist culture encountering many prayer symbols like wheels and beautifully inscribed stone walls.
Our trek leads to a climb within forested areas covered with rhododendron-oaks-pines and fir trees with views of snow capped peaks to reach at famous Namche Bazaar, where colorful and busy Saturday Market takes place every week.
After Namche walk is easier on gradual path with glorious views along the way to reach at scenic Thyangboche Monastery surrounded by high peaks with views of Mt. Everest-Lhotse and Ama Dablam.
Here with time to visit interesting monastery in the shade of mountains and rolling green hills, soon walks leads to arid and barren windswept country after leaving rich vegetation and tree lines behind.
An interesting scenic walks with grand views all along the way to Dingboche and Lobuche as our route heads further north with touch of high altitude, gaining heights slowly then reaching our main highlight of the adventure at Everest South Base Camp beneath tumbling boulders of Khumbu Ice falls and glaciers.
With enjoyable and exciting time at base camp heading back to Lukla with climb up to scenic Kalapathar top, the highest spot of the adventure above 5,545 m / 18,298 ft facing tremendous scenery of high peaks with Mt. Everest at close distance.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotels.
On arrival at Kathmandu international airport, where you will be received with warm welcome and then transfer to your hotels in the hub of Kathmandu city, after checking in getting refreshed rendezvous with other trekking members and staff.
Here our guide or group leader will brief you with information regarding Mt. Everest South Base Camp Trekking, with welcome dinner in a nice Nepalese Restaurants includes Folk program of various parts of Nepal.
Day 02: In Kathmandu optional tour and preparation for Everest Trekking.
A free day in Kathmandu for preparations and packing as well to purchase necessary equipments for the trek, on this leisure day an option to join in our sightseeing tour at places of interest around Kathmandu-Patan and Bhaktapur cities.
Where you will be soaked within culture and historical sites listed as World Heritage Sites.
Day 03: Fly to Lukla 2,886m and walk to Phakding 2,640m – 04 hrs
Morning transfer to Kathmandu domestic airport for sweeping 30 minutes scenic flight in a smaller aircraft to Lukla with panorama of snow clad mountains with Everest in view during airborne.
On reaching at Lukla airport named Tenzing & Hillary Airport, after sorting out gear and getting refreshed start walk to Phakding for overnight stop, as the route leads towards many Sherpa farm villages with great views, and the slowly walk reaches you at Phakding village for first overnight in Khumbu region.
Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m – 06 hrs.
Morning walk starts walking on the bank of Dudh Kosi River, crossing bridges to reach at the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park in Monjo village, after checking inside the Park walk leads to last village at Jorsalle.
From here walk leads to cross last high bridge and then with uphill walk for few hours heading towards Namche Bazaar, here with two nights in this prosperous large village as well the main centre and capital of Khumbu, where one can find facilities of ATMs, Cyber cafes, stores, shops, restaurants, banks and fresh bakery with busy colorful Saturday market.
Day 05: Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization.
Namche an ideal place for acclimatization, on rest relax or take a short hike up to the park museum which houses great range of information from mountaineering, flora- fauna with Sherpa cultures and Buddhist religion.
From here enjoy grand panorama of high snow capped mountains with Mt. Everest and stunning peak Amadablam, other optional walk up to Everest View Hotel for another beautiful views of surrounding mountains.
Day 06: Trek to Thyangboche 3,867 m – 05hrs.
After a pleasant rest at Namche, morning walk on gradual winding trail into rhododendron woodland, with views of Amadablam, Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Tharmarserku and Kwangde peaks.
Walk leads to a short descend to Imjatse River at Phunge Tenga, after a refreshing stop climb for few hours into a cool serene forest to Thyangboche Monastery.
A scenic spot with grand views of Amadablam, Kangtenga, Tharmarserku, Kwangde and Mt. Everest, a holy spot as the head lama (Rinpoche) of the monastery resides here.
Mountaineers also take blessing from high lama or priest for successful climb and safe expedition.
Day 07: Trek to Dingboche 4,260 m – 05 hrs.
Morning walk leads downhill through birch-rhododendron and pines forest, from here on nice and pleasant walks after crossing a bridge over Imja Khola and then a gentle climb to reach Pangboche village.
This is the last permanent village before Everest Base Camp, after Pangboche tree lines drops for short rhododendron and juniper bushes. The trail leads to exposed area with views of Mt. Amadablam after crossing a last bridge leading to a climb to reach within beautiful and scenic Imjatse valley at Dingboche for overnight stop.
Day 08: Rest day at Dingboche for acclimatization and hikes.
Rest day in Dingboche, enjoy fabulous views of Amadablam North Face, Island / Imjatse Peak, Nuptse and Lhotse mountains, a little higher climb on the ridge offers views of world’s 5th highest Mt. Makalu beyond Amphu Labtsa peak.
On this leisure day take a short hike Nagarjung hills for best views of Imjatse valley with surrounding giant peaks with Island Peak and Makalu towards east.
Day 09: Trek to Lobuche 4,930 m – 05 hrs.
On leaving Dingboche, short climb to a ridge with prayer monuments and then on gradual trail with slow climb to reach at Thugla (Dugla), here trail from Pheriche valley and Dingboche joins towards Everest Base Camp.
From Thugla stunning views of Taboche, Cholatse, Lobuche, Pumori, Amadablam, after a lunch break and rest climb leads up to terminal debris of Khumbu Glacier coming a across many memorials of unfortunate climbers died on mountain of Khumbu, from here continue walk to Lobuche for overnight stop.
Day 10: Trek to Gorakshep 5,170 m and Everest Base Camp 5, 364 m – 06 hrs.
Our route today quite tough due to gain in altitude offering tremendous views of
Mt. Pumori, Lingtrin, Khumbutse and Mt. Everest.
After few hours of strenuous scenic walk reaching at Gorakshep as the walk leads over moraine and icy path, Gorakshep a nice small place with some nice lodges on route Everest Base Camp. After a break here, continue walk to Everest Base Camp as the trail leads over ice and moraine and then reaching our highlight of the adventure at Everest Base Camp. At Everest South Base Camp enjoy the views of notorious Khumbu Ice Falls and glacier with close views of Lhotse-Nuptse and Lo-La, after a marvelous moment head back to Gorakshep for overnight stop.
Day 11: Hike to Kalapathar 5,545 m and continue trek to Pangboche 3,900 m – 06 hrs.
Early morning optional hike uphill to Kalapathar top at 5,545 m high, offers fantastic close view of Mt. Everest with surrounding peaks, after an eye catching views downhill to Gorakshep. Morning after a great climb on scenic view top of Kalapathar, and continue walk to Thugla with downhill to Pheriche on a windy valley taking a nice and pleasant walk.
At Pheriche with super views of Amadablam, Nuptse wall, Lhotse, and then heading downhill and back into lower altitude within tree lines, as the walk leads to our overnight stop in Pangboche village.
Day 12: Trek to Kyanjima 3,630 m (near Namche & Khumjung) via Thyangboche – 06 hrs.
Walk continues retracing the same route from Pangboche, after crossing a bridge an hour climb to Thyangboche Monastery with amazing scenery. Morning walk continues with descend to Imjatse River at Phunge tenga.
After crossing bridge a steep uphill for an hour then with gentle winding walk all the way to Kyanjinma for overnight stop.
(Energetic people can visit Everest View Hotel or Khumjung and Khunde village)
Kyanjima a small beautiful spot with few lodges facing Everest-Amadablam and Tharmarserku peaks, here chance of spotting some wild life like Thar, Musk deer and the colorful Danphe (Impeyan pheasant and national bird of Nepal).
Day 13: Trek to Monjo 2,880 m – 06 hrs.
After a wonderful time on this scenic peaceful spot within serene alpine woodland walk towards Namche Bazaar, here having a short rest and then continue walk downhill towards Monjo for overnight stop.
Day 14: Trek to Lukla – 06 hrs.
From Monjo walk leads to cross over Dudh Kosi River and then walking on River bank, with few short ups and downs to reach at Phakding village.
After a short rest our last walk leads you on the same scenic route back to Lukla with memorable adventure on Mt. Everest South Base Camp, walk follows past Ghat village then last uphill climb to Lukla for lunch and overnight stop, evening party and last dinner at Khumbu area.
Day 15: Fly to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
From Lukla flight starts from early morning to Kathmandu in fine clear weather, sometimes flight time can delay due to bad weather, as per the flight time board in a small plane for a super, scenic flight back to Kathmandu.
On reaching Katmandu domestic terminal our guide and staff transfer you back to respective hotels in the hub of Kathmandu in and around Thamel area.
Day 16: In Kathmandu for optional sightseeing tour.
A day reserved as spare and free day in case of flight delay at Lukla in due to bad weather conditions, with opportunity for sightseeing tour for few hours, after an interesting sightseeing back to hotel with afternoon free at leisure for individual activities.
Day 17: International departure for home ward bound.
After a great and great experience around high Khumbu and Mt. Everest South Base Camp trekking, depart from the hotel to the airport for final departure homeward bound or to respective destinations.
