Introduction:

 

Naya Kanga / Ganjala Chuli Climb lead you to a fascinating and exciting adventure on top at above 5, 844 meters/19,173 ft high.

The Naya Kanga peak located within beautiful Langtang valley rim towards southern direction close to Ganja-la high pass which separates Langtang and Helambu areas.

A striking looking peak of rocks covered with snow and ice from Kyanjin Gompa within Langtang valley, the last human settlement and village before heading towards complete wilderness in the harmony of mountains with tranquil environment, on least explored areas by other trekkers and adventurer.

Naya Kanga / Ganjala Chuli Climb one of the least climbed trekking peaks of Nepal, where few adventurer and mountaineers seldom climbed these stunning peaks, a wonderful opportunity to venture around remote areas of Langtang Himal.

The peak although below 6,000 m high but leads you with challenging technical efforts on some sections of the climb to its summit top, where the grade of the climb is listed PD means ‘Per Diifcule’ as per French / Swiss Alpine Climbing Classification.

Starting our adventure to Naya Kanga / Ganjala Chuli Climb taking an interesting drive from Kathmandu towards North around Central Himalaya region within Langtang Himal, where our drive leads through rural farm villages and towns to reach at Syabrubesi village.

From Syabrubesi walk leads higher into alpine green hills and gorge of upper Trisuli called as Bhote Kosi or Langtang Khola and into deep forested areas where endangered and elusive Red Panda seldom seen during walks.

Walk leads past Tamang farm villages enriched with colorful culture of Buddhism religion and the slowly our trek enters a wide and scenic Langtang Valley at Kyanjin Gompa in the comfort of nice and cozy lodge.

With time for acclimatization and short hike to its view point then heading towards our major highlight of the adventure at Naya Kanga / Ganjala Chuli base camp for the classic climb on top the summit of Naya Kanga peak which is known as Ganja Chuli due to its closeness of Ganja – La pass.

After much rest days and preparation as per the right weather conditions, our adventure leads to a big haul and ascent on top Naya Kanga / Ganjala Chuli, where you will be surrounded with incredible views of mountains.

Our adventure concludes walking back on the same route to Syabrubesi for the drive to Kathmandu after an overwhelming and marvelous time on Naya Kanga / Ganjala Chuli Climb.

Brief Itinerary:

Day 01:            Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02:            In Kathmandu optional tour and preparation for Naya Kanga climb.
Day 03:            Drive to Syabrubesi 1,460 m via Trisuli Bazaar – 06 hrs.
Day 04:            Trek to Lama Hotel 2,430 m – 06 hours.
Day 05:            Trek to Langtang village 3,430 m -06 hours.
Day 06:            Trek to Kyanjin Gompa 3,850 m -04 hours.
Day 07:            At Kyanjin Gompa rest day for acclimatization.
Day 08:            Trek to Naya Kanga Base Camp 4,300m / 14,104 ft or Ganja La Phedi – 05 hrs.
Day 09:            Climb to High Camp 4,960 m / 16,273 ft -03 hrs.
Day 10:            Climb the summit of Naya Kanga Peak and back to base camp – 08 hrs.
Day 11:            Reserve and contingency day in case of unfavorable weather problem.
Day 12:            Trek to Kyanjin Gompa – 06 hrs.
Day 13:            Trek to Lama Hotel 2,350m – 06 hours walk.
Day 14:            Trek to Syabrubesi – 06 hours walk.
Day 15:            Drive back to Kathmandu – 06 hrs.
Day 16:            In Kathmandu free day for individual activities.
Day 17:            International Departure homeward bound.
