Introduction:

Mera Peak stands as one of the tallest trekking peaks within Nepal Himalaya at above
6,461 m / 21, 1907 ft high, a striking looking peak well hidden within remote corners east of Khumbu and Everest region.

Mera Peak Trek & Climb leads you into off the beaten tracks away from mainstream trekking trails and human settlements within complete wilderness of mountains and pristine natural surroundings.

On this adventure on Mera Peak Trek & Climb, starts with scenic short flight to Lukla unique airstrip, where our walk commence after a refreshing time in Lukla, and then heading towards complete wilderness of lush alpine vegetation covered with rhododendron-oaks-magnolia-pines and fir trees.

Walking into remote areas of eastern Khumbu within Everest region, as the walk leads over few high passes over Kalo-Himal and Naulekh, which separates Inkhu-Hongu valley and popular route of Khumbu areas.

Fascinating scenery all the way as the walk leads into hidden areas at Inkhu valley covered with dense alpine woodland, a summer pasture of Yaks and other domestic cattle’s, as walk leads around temporary shelters of Yak herders and at Tag-Nag, spending couple of nights here for acclimatization.

Walk continues towards North East leaving the green vegetation and tree lines for remorseless fields of moraine-ice and glaciers at Mera Peak base camp for the ‘Big Climb’ on top 6,461 m and 21, 1907 ft at the summit of Mera Peak.

Climb of Mera Peak although one of the highest trekking peaks in Nepal, the route to the summit is straightforward of less technical effort as we have used the Grade from French and Swiss Alpine Climbing classification as PD only, which means ‘Per Difficule’ of less technical climb walking on ice and glaciers.

Final climb to the summit top provides you with breathtaking panorama of world’s highest mountains with Everest-Lhotse-Makalu as far to Kanchenjunga towards eastern horizon, after an exciting climb head back to base camp and onward towards Lukla using the same scenic route.

On reaching Lukla in the comfort of nice hotels and lodge after being in total wilderness in the harmony of mountains, next morning a smooth scenic flight brings you back into civilization within hustle and bustle city life of Kathmandu after a remarkable and awesome adventure on Mera Peak Trek & Climb.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: In Kathmandu optional tour and preparation for Mera Peak Climb.
Day 03: Fly to Lukla 2,820 m (30 mins flight) with free afternoon in Lukla.
Day 04: Trek to Chutanga 3,430 m -04 hrs walks
Day 05: Trek to Thuli Kharka 4,300 m – 06 hrs.
Day 06: Trek to Mousum Kharka 3,430 m – 04 hrs.
Day 07: Trek to Tag-Nag 4,360 m – 05 hrs.
Day 08: Rest day for acclimatization.
Day 09: Trek to Khare near Mera-La and Mera Peak BC at 5, 300m – 04 hrs
Day 10: Trek to Mera Base Camp 5, 300 m – 04 hrs.
Day 11: Rest and spare day for final preparation to Mera Peak climb.
Day 12: Trek and climb to High Camp 5,780 m – 04 hrs
Day 13: Climb Mera Summit 6,461 m / 21, 1907 ft – 08 hrs
Day 14: Reserve and contingency day in case of bad weather condition.
Day 15: Cleaning up at base camp with packing for return journey.
Day 16: Trek to Khothay 3,600 – 06 hrs.
Day 17: Trek to Thuli Kharka 4,200 m – 05 hrs.
Day 18: Trek to Lukla – 07 hrs.
Day 19: Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to respective hotels.
