Introduction:

Fluted Peak / Singu Chuli Climb one of the most exciting adventure within massive range of Annapurna great Himalaya, where trek leads you within picturesque Annapurna sanctuary and then beyond into hidden areas of Annapurna massive for the climb on top Fluted Peak / Singu Chuli at above 6,501m and 21,453 ft high.

Fluted Peak also known by local names as Singu Chuli Himal, an attractive mountain where part of its ridge line joins south with Glacier Dome, near by the lodge at Machhapuchare Base Camp little section of the peak can be seen, cradling the West Annapurna Glacier.

Fluted Peak /Singu Chuli can be seen from moraines above Annapurna Base camp which is located near Annapurna Sanctuary.

Fluted Peak / Singu Chuli climbing route follows a shelf above west bank of Annapurna Glacier, skirting around the base of the mountain’s with rocky east ridge to reach base of North-East Face, which is unseen, even from the moraines above the Machhapuchare Base Camp.

The best distant view of Fluted Peak / Singu Chuli is from Annapurna South base, from the moraines above the lodges at Annapurna Base Camp the Fluted South Face presents a ‘beautiful shape, buttressed by the pencil shadowy ridges of snow and ice’ rising above the ridge connecting it with Tent Peak /Tharpu Chuli.

The peak was first received attention in 1956 by Jimmy Roberts when he explored the area during a reconnaissance for the 1957 British Machhapuchare Expedition.

Fluted Peak / Singu Chuli situated within massive Annapurna Himalayan range of Gandaki Zone its location at 28 36 18 Latitude & 83 57 00 Longitude.

An attractive peak, which acts as a central divider between semi-circles of peaks enclosing the Sanctuary, the peak sometimes confused with Rakhsi Peak, a small summit and viewpoint above the normal high camp. From the summit offers outstanding view of all peaks within Annapurna range and its Sanctuary.

Starting from scenic Pokhara following Modi River upstream right up to its glacial source at Annapurna Sanctuary where walk leads from low warm areas of paddy fields towards cool alpine forested areas exploring Gurung farm villages of immense old culture with Buddhism.

After walking into Modi River gorge within thick woodland and vegetation reaching an exposed wide areas into a plateau at Annapurna Sanctuary with amphitheatre of peaks with Annapurna I ahead, as walk leads at Annapurna base camp past Machhapuchare base camp.

Enjoying rest days with awesome panorama of mountains then heading to our main adventure through Machhapuchare base camp leaving Annapurna sanctuary to reach our base camp for the climb of Fluted peak / Singu Chuli.

At base camp with rest and preparation heading for the tough climb on top of Fluted Peak / Singu Chuli with great support of Sherpa Climbing expert guides, on reaching the top rewarded with grand panorama of mountains.

Feeling on top spirit after a great and exciting climb on Fluted Peak / Singu Chuli descend back to base camp for onward journey back to Pokhara taking the same route for few days and then on alternative route via Jhinu village enjoying its fresh natural hot spring and then on the road to beautiful Pokhara.

Brief Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: In Kathmandu optional tour and preparation for Fluted Peak / Singu Chuli Climb.
Day 03: Drive to Pokhara 860 m – 06 hrs.
Day 04: Drive to Nayapul (trek point) and trek to Ghandruk 1,940m -04 hrs.
Day 05: Trek to Chomrong village at 2,170m – 06 hrs.
Day 06: Trek to Dovan 2,600 m via Bamboo 2,310 – 06 hrs.
Day 07: Trek to Machhapuchare Base Camp 3,700 via Deurali 3,200 m – 05 hrs.
Day 08: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp 4,130 m – 03 hrs with free afternoon.
Day 09: Trek back to Machhapuchare BC walk to Fluted Peak /Singu Chuli BC 4,300 m -05 hrs.
Day 10: At Singu Chuli Base Camp preparation for the climb.
Day 11: Trek and climb to Singu Chuli High Camp at 4,900 m – 03 hrs.
Day 12: Climb The North East Face of Fluted Peak / Singu Chuli.
Day 13: Spare and contingency day in case of bad weather and delay on climb.
Day 14: Trek back to Machhapuchare Base Camp – 05 hrs.
Day 15: Trek back to Bamboo 2,310 m – 06 hrs.
Day 16: Trek to Jhinu Danda (hot-spring) 1,780 m – 05 hrs.
Day 17: Trek to Bhirethati and drive to Pokhara – 07 hrs.
Day 18: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to respective hotels.
Day 19: In Kathmandu free day with individual activities.
Day 20: International departure for home ward bound.
