Chulu West Peak extends towards western direction with its other Chulu’s peaks which is Chulu East-Chulu Mid-Chulu Far East and then Chulu West Peaks which is one of the toughest and high technical skill peaks to climb than all other Chulu’s.

Chulu West situated North West Nepal within Damodar Himal and beyond North of Annapurna Himalayan range, the climbing grade listed as TD used as per French and Swiss Alpine Climbing Classification System, where TD grade means ‘Technical Diffcule’.

Certainly a tough mountain to climb but worth the experience of mountaineering skills and endurance which will be great practice on rocks and snow with ice climbing before planning for next major mountaineering adventure around high Himalayan peaks.

Chulu West Peak Climb leads you with exciting drive from Kathmandu towards North Mid Western Himalaya to reach low warm areas of Lamjung district, and then walk starts heading into cooler alpine hills covered with enchanting woodland of tall rhododendron (national flower of Nepal), magnolia, oaks and pines trees and within lovely interesting villages interwoven with Buddhism religion and cultures.

Walk leads past Jagat-Dharpani and Chame town (headquarter and administrative town of Manang areas), and then slowly reaching into scenic and beautiful Manang valley with daily views of snow clad peaks all along the walks.

Adventure leads following Marsyangdi River right to its source its glacial source around Manang and its main village of immense culture similar to Tibetan heritage way of life, at Manang exploring its scenic view points and traditional villages and then heading towards our main goal of the adventure at Chulu West Base Camp.

Journey leads into windswept terrain and Yaks grazing fields to reach a remote and hidden areas at Chulu West base camp, away from main and popular route of Annapurna Circuit trail for few days.

Climb is undertaken with much preparation and acclimatization days using excellent camping facilities of cooks-kitchen staff backed by expert climbing guides and strong cheerful porters to carry the gear.

An adventure leads to high camp and then making safety and accessible route to approach the summit of Chulu West after a hard and tough technical effort reaching the highlight peak of the trip then descend back on the main trail to cross over high Thorang-la pass at above 5,416 m high.

After a climb and over the scenic pass heading to a big drop to land at Kaligandaki River valley at Lower Mustang areas, with time at holy Muktinath areas and then reaching at Jomsom, the headquarter and main town of Mustang district.

A smooth and scenic short flight in a small aircraft brings you at picturesque valley in Pokhara blessed with mountains and lakes where our mesmerizing adventure on Chulu West Climb concludes.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: In Kathmandu optional tour and preparation for Chulu West Peak Climb.
Day 03: Drive to Syange 1,140m via Besisar – 06 hrs.
Day 04: Trek to Dharapani 1,920m – 05 hours.
Day 05: Trek to Chame 2,670 m – 06 hours.
Day 06: Trek to Pisang village 3,300 m – 05 hrs.
Day 07: Trek to Manang village 3,540 m – 05 hrs.
Day 08: Rest day at Manang for acclimatization and short hike.
Day 09: Trek to Ledar 4,280 m past Yak Kharka – 04 hrs.
Day 10: Trek to Chulu West Peak Base Camp 4,700 m – 04 hrs.
Day 11:  Rest day at base camp acclimatization and preparation for the climb.
Day 12: Trek and climb to High Camp at 5,100m -04 hrs.
Day 13: Climbing to the summit of Chulu West and back at base camp.
Day 14: Spare and Contingency day in case unfavorable bad weather conditions.
Day 15: Trek to Thorang- La High Camp or Phedi 4,450m – 06 hrs.
Day 16: Cross Thorang La 5,416m | 17,769ft and trek to Muktinath 3,800 m-06 hrs.
Day 17: Trek to Jomsom 2,715 – 04 hrs.
Day 18: Fly to Pokhara 860 m afternoon free for individual activities.
Day 19: From Pokhara drive to Kathmandu 1,345 m – 06hrs.
Day 20: In Kathmandu free day for individual activities.
Day 21: International departure homeward bound.
